This year Rod flew into Denver and helped Dan and the boys drive to Ohio for harvest. They had a great boys' trip and they always look forward to a week on the farm together! I was able to take advantage of the alone time and write on my thesis for a while week.
The highlight of the trip was the new, big tractor! For weeks the boys had been trying to come up with a new name for her, and were thrilled that Uncle Joe was going to let them name her. With grandma's help, they named her, "Big Bess."
This year they also got a new bigger combine that was GREEN! Definitaly another highlight.
Unforunately most of the week they were in town in rained. They were able to get on the farm one day out of the whole week, and then one other day for cider pressin'. Thankfully Grandma's laundry room had some work to be done in it, so they were able to help her in laying down a new floor and painting it!
