This year our Thanksgiving plans were flipped completely when Great Grandma Beam passed away the week before Thanksgiving, and days before Grandma and Grandpa were supposed to fly out here (and about 10 other misc. family members).
We quickly scheduled flights to Ohio, and headed there the Monday before Thanksgiving. It was great to be together again as a family, even if it was to mourn the loss of a great woman.
True to Ohio weather, it rain, a lot! Thankfully Grandma and Grandpa have a large basement for the boys to play in. Trains, tractors, and carpet ball ruled this first few days we were in town!
With Thanksgiving day being both Grandpa and Aunt Beth's birthday - we were in town to help celebrate those as well! Beth's boyfriend Tyler had spoiled her with 30 days of gifts for her 30th birthday, and had enlisted the help of her 2 nephews for day 2 - 2 dozen roses! She was quite shocked and thrilled!!
Thanksgiving morning we celebrated with a complete pastry basket from a neighbor! We all enjoyed the treats! Beth was then finally able to open birthday present #1 from Tyler - a Hot Air Balloon Ride!
Uncle Joel and Katie were able to fly in from California, and then boys had great fun greating him that morning - and Uncle Joel was ready for it too - complete with a tickle fight!
