Moms4moms had a firestation visit scheduled just before our move and I was so excited. It has just so happened that we have missed every opportunity previous to get into one. Boys, being boys, love firestations and are great at pointing out everyone we pass in the car. I was overjoyed that we would be able to go for the first time with Nathan's buddies! In preparation for our trip, we read several books on Firemen, Fire Trucks and such. Firebears, the Rescue Team was one that topped the list!
Nathan did great at holding the hose, and would've turned it on if the fireman would've let him. He was ready to go! He also asked to see the ax, the firepole, and the bunk beds. Evidently their presentation wasn't thorough enough for his little mind or his mommy had read too many books about firestations to Mr. Smartipants. He was so proud of all he knew about the Fire Station, and the Fireman that he couldn't wait to hop up on one and get his picture taken!
