Wild about you....

God is Wild About You is the theme song for VBS this year at our church. The boys got a preview last week as they attended another church's VBS and already know the songs and motions by heart. They love it, and I am so excited for them to each get another week of the same lessons, songs, and stories!

On Monday, when they came home from their first day they couldn't wait to pop in the CD. Before the songs even began to play each one asked for their favorite song by name. Drew was quite thrilled that his song is number one, and Nathan's favorite is number two on the list. Let's just say, number four is mommy's favorite!

Song number one, God is Wild About You, is very much growing on me as well, and may come to be a close second to How Great Thou Art - song number four. The drums and beat are very contagious, and it is just repetitive enough that the boys know the song by heart now.

There is nothing sweeter than hearing your boys sing or shout "God is WILD about us" from the backseat of the car after a chaotic morning that could be adequately described as WILD! It sent chills down my spine as I realized the sweet souls of my boys, who are very much wild, are a daily and constant reminder of God himself - WILD. While the wildness that my boys exhibit on a daily basis exudes the sinful nature of man sometimes, it was a perfect reminder that those little wild beings need to be shaped each day to exude the WILD LOVE of God. And yes, sometimes it's ok to be a little WILD!
