Gingerbread House Party

On Monday we were able to attend our friend Lori's Gingerbread House Party! Ali, is in Nathan's class at school and he was so excited to see her house and play with his friends in her nice big yard! I had never attempted to decorate a gingerbread house with the boys due to the mess it would create - and Ali's house had a great big back porch ideal for decorating these candy filled houses!

I was plesantly surprised by how well the boys did with the icing and the candy. Nathan did quite well getting the icing on the house, but more importantly putting the candy on it as oppposed to eating it! Drew did most of the eating, which was fine!

Once the boys were done with thier houses, and had their bellies full of sugar, they were free to play in the great big backyard! They had all kinds of fun with the other boys and girls, and even more fun with Ms. Lori pulled out the Golf Cart and horses for them to ride on.Drew, my animal lover, was skittish around the horse until he got on him, and then loved it! You could hear him shouting, "Go, Go faster," as he rounded the corner of the house.
Nathan was so exahusted after all of his fun at Ali's house that he konked out in his hiding spot just after dinner! We couldn't find him for the longest time, and I was in the process of starting to panic when I spotted him behind the couch and end table.
