Christmas in Ohio

Christmas of 2010 consisted mainly of the flu. The day we drove in, Drew came down with the flu. Within 24hrs of arriving in Ohio, both Nathan and Mommy came down with the flu. We all had fever, no appetite or energy - and it lasted for the entire duration of our trip. We celebrated Christmas, spent a lot of time indoors, watched movies, worked on the train table, played a few games, and drank a lot of Gatorade!

The boys were excited for Santa and his arrival. They mustered up enough energy to open up presents, which is more than Mommy could do. Drew was thrilled to pieces over his Fire Station and truck from Santa, while Nathan enjoyed his remote control truck!

Grandma made both boys a great blanket for watching tv under, and also got them John Deere Sleeping Bags!




Christmas evening the boys were feeling well enough to attend the Beam Christmas party in Xenia. They got to sit on Santa's lap and thank him for their gifts, and get one more! By the end of the evening they were beat - and both came home that evening with fevers.








The remainder of Christmas week and New Years was spent sleeping - even on the carpet ball table. Poor Drew wanted so badly to be apart of the action, but was just too sick. He laid down right on the carpet ball table with his blankie and Gatorade to watch Daddy and Grandpa work on the train table.
Thankfully New Years Day we all felt slightly better and were able to spend some good quality time playing games! The boys had gotten Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders for Christmas - and we all had fun showing them how to play!
