While we were in Steamboat Springs this summer we discovered Fish Creek Falls. It was a beautiful hike and I could not wait to see it in the winter, all covered in snow. We weren't sure how far we could make it - and were pleasantly surprised to make it almost all the way up the Falls.
While most of the creek and falls were frozen over, you could catch glimpses of running water, and hear it under your feet most of the way. It was incredible to see/hear, let alone hike! While we didn't make it to the clear top of the falls, we sure had fun sliding down them!
When we came back to the hotel, we had great fun in comparing our pictures from the summer to those in January! Take a peak below:
Later that afternoon we headed to the top of Steamboat 1 for lunch. It was a beautiful ride up the gondola, and a fun atmosphere as all the skiers were coming in for lunch as well!
