Spring Break

About two weeks before Spring Break we decided to head to Steamboat Springs. We went last year, just one week after delivering Caleb, and it just seemed fitting to return. It was a celebration of surviving this very long and difficult year. To look back and think about all the year had held for us was incredible. We had come so far, and I stood in awe at how far God had brought us during this period in our lives. A heart of pure gratitude sums it up best. Gratitude for the strength He provided on difficult days. Gratitude for the health and happiness of our family. Gratitude for our new home and 'new beginnings'.

Our first day we opted for breakfast at our favorite spot in town - Winona's. They make the best lemon glazed cinnamon rolls ever! They are large enough for us all to share - and then some! The boys even used the leftover icing to dip their pancakes in!

After a delicious breakfast, we headed to Strawberry Hot Springs. They boys had never been before, and were excited to sit in the large, natural hot tub. The springs were packed that day, and the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They made lots of friends with other kids there, and Nathan was brave enough to jump in the coolest pool and brave the narrow ledges around the hot springs.
