This morning we woke up and headed to Fish Creek Falls. It's a great little hiking spot, and has some beautiful scenery. After a quick stop for some Starbucks, we headed over to the Falls.
We were pleased to see some snow still remained. It made for a delightful mix of both winter and spring. The white snow combined with the new green buds popping out was beautiful. Being in such a dark place, and feeling the full depths of walking thru the valley of the shadow of death, it was refreshing to observe the first glimpses of spring.

Nathan was so excited when he saw all the snow, and particularly the big iceberg. After posing for a quick picture for mom (after 6 yrs he knows me well), he ventured out onto the iceberg. AND, from the pictures below you can imagine quite well the events that took place.
Yes, he fell thru the ice. Thankfully he didn't fall far, but it was enough to scare him! Thankfully Daddy was within reach and sacrificed some snow in the shoes to rescue him!
By that point, two out of the four of us were covered in snow, so a little snowball fight was in order. The kids had a blast getting both mommy and daddy with snowballs.
Proud of the snowball he just threw at Daddy.
Nathan laughing at himself for falling in the snow, again!
Realizing he has snow in his pants and he can't get up!
