Fall Trip to Ohio

Our first day in Ohio we headed down to the farm. It was, after all, the reason we had driven 19 hours. The boys were chomping at the bit to get down there, including the biggest boy of them all - Dan.

Thankfully they were harvesting the field closest to the barn. It made for easy delivery of the boys to get their first ride on the combine for the season. After they unloaded the first time Dan took Nathan for a ride on Old Gert, and Drew headed off with Grandpa. As many years as Beth has been on the farm, she has never learned to drive a tractor - so this was her year! Dan showed both her and I how to drive it.

Drew, who is within spitting distance of being three, was still a little afraid of all the machines this year. He did tremendously better than he did last year, but still wanted his ear protection on most of the time and stuck awfully close to Grandpa for the entire day.
I don't think Grandpa minded his little helper!

Grandma and Drew liked taking the new Gator around the farm, Grandma more so than Drew!

What a great way to end the day, with a beautiful sunset.
