Friday Date Night

Tonight was a Mommy and boys date night! After a long few weeks with daddy traveling I was in desperate need for a reason to get dressed up and to go out! The Susical the Musical at Nathan's school provided just the perfect outing for a fun date night! Pop pop was out of town as well, so Grammy met us at Chick Fila for dinner beforehand, and then for the play.

The boys are always excited to hear about a date night, and I make sure to build it up for days in advance so they know it's something really special - just not a regular 'ole evening of doing what Mommy wants to do, or has to get done. And, they know Mommy quite well - if anything is worth something, then there's gotta be a picture for proof!

We had a great evening out, and the musical at the school was fabulous! The boys sat glued to their seats for over two hours, and laughed, cheered, and pointed at it all. They had a blast, and watching their joy made my date night worth all the tediousness of the week well worth it!

Drew's favorite character consisted of any of the girls dressed in bright colors. It was hilarious to watch him come alive anytime one of them were singing/dancing or speaking. He absolutely adored them. It slightly terrified me how drawn he was to them, and after the show when he was allowed to go see them he was particularly drawn to them. It was a great reminder to pray for his discernment in chooseing a wife as he grows up.
