First Kiss....

Yesterday afternoon Nathan had his first kiss. Maybe I should say, he gave his first kiss. It was so sweet, and totally unexpected by us all. Nathan is usually oblivious to the fact that boys exist and girls exist, much less that there is a difference between the two. I have noticed that girls are very aware of this difference. Of course this may be due to the fact that their fathers start teaching this at a very early age.

There have only been 2 girls ever that Nathan has taken notice to. One was Kinsey, his 2nd cousin who he took an immediate liking to this summer at his Great Grandmother's birthday party. He was so kind and gently with her. He took her hand and lead her all over Aunt Mary's yard. They sat together, and played together so sweetly. If you have ever observed Nathan playing with other children, and witness this account, you would definitely have noticed the difference in his play.



Yesterday was much the same with our neighbor friend, McKensey. Maybe its just name, or the brunette hair. He again played in the dirt with her so gently. He didn't even throw dirt in her hair with is a miracle! After almost an hour of playing together, I told him to say goodbye to her. He reach over and kissed her right on the lips! It was adorable! So sweet and innocent. It was as if he'd been doing it for years, or at least watching mommy and daddy kiss goodbye for years. It makes me very thankful that he has a good role model to look up to!
