Thanksgiving

Last year we were able to spend Thanksgiving with family in Virginia. It was a real treat to spend it with family, as that has not typically been a holiday that we've traveled for. A year later, I am so thankful we did as it was much easier for us to drive twelve hours to be with my Aunt, Uncle, and Grandmother, as opposed to a flight across the country for all four of us this year! Here is a picture of us last year with my Grandmother and the boys Great Grandmother.

This year, our short fifteen minute drive across town for Thanksgiving was nothing! It was the most relaxing, restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving! We spent the morning here at the house just playing with the kids, doing some Thanksgiving crafts, and then we headed to my parents after the boys' nap. My mom's friend Loraine made the boys the cutest little turkey shirts. They looked so cute in them along with their turkey hats we'd made earlier that day!

Mom had a delicious feast waiting for us when we arrived. The boys were able to watch Pop pop carve the turkey and we then sat down to eat!

Here are some of the cute turkey cookies we made for the boys' dessert!
